World Turtle/Tortoise Day

In recognition of World Tortoise Day on March 23rd, 2014 a few of the Nature Club members went to Manse Elemantary to visit two classes. One kindergarten class and one 3rd grade class. The members educated the classes about how desert tortoises are protected by the governement and everything that goes into caring for, and being a good custodian of a desert tortoise.

It was a fun day for Ruby Beta as well! She seemed to really enjoy being around all of the children who fed her tasty veggies that day. Thank you to Manse for allowing us to come and share Ruby as well as help spread important knowledge and information about her species.
